Lead4Tomorrow in Zimbabwe

The most recent addition to our East Africa initiative is the establishment of Lead4Tomorrow Zimbabwe, during 2023, based in Chivhu. Family Hui has already been introduced to families in the region, and several families have participated to expand their positive parenting skills and understanding of child development. A building to house the various activities envisioned has already been built, and a recent donation provided for added bathroom facilities so the space can be used as a childcare facility as well.

A primary long-term goal of L4T Zimbabwe is to create maternal health center for underserved women. This will be linked to the Family Hui program as well as other resources. An additional donation has also been provided for both a poultry run and solar water well, both of which will be used to support nutrition and income producing agricultural activities as demonstration projects. These activities will continue to provide the foundation for the work of L4T Zimbabwe as they advance efforts to build-out the maternal health care center as well.
